At Shasha Co. we are continuously trying to conserve natural resources, improve our energy efficiency, reducing waste and promote a cleaner environment.

• We are constantly exploring local sources and strongly support our local suppliers. For instance organic wheat, organic spelt, natural honey and organic sunflower seeds (for in-house expeller-pressed sunflower oil) which are the main ingredients in most of our products are all sourced locally.
• We monitor and get involved with all of our third party suppliers so as to promote eco-friendly practices and procedures.
• We consolidate our deliveries and distribute directly where we can in order to shorten the supply chain.
• We use the least amount of packaging necessary and when possible use the best, most environmentally friendly materials available.
• Our plants and offices are maintained and sanitized with organic and eco-friendly supplies.
• All of our food and non-food waste is recycled.
• Our production systems are constantly monitored and upgraded to be more energy efficient.
• We have implemented procedures in our offices to reduce paper and ink use.
• We encourage and offer incentives to our staff to lead healthier lifestyle; to quit smoking, exercise, carpool etc...
• Shasha Co. is one of the only production plants in Ontario to use a UV air filtration system throughout its facilities for a healthier working environment.
