A quick note to thanks Shasha and everyone at Shasha Bread Co. for the wonderful time my wife and I had today on your public tour.
Clearly the passion and commitment of Shasha came through in his presentations. The knowledge and passion of the employees along with their pride in their work shone just a brightly in their faces as they were presented to us during the tour.
We came away with a much a much greater knowledge of the process involved in the production of your products and the significant benefits to ourselves through the consumption of artisan made products.
Thanks again.

I just returned home from the Princess Margaret Lodge in Toronto. After undergoing Chemo treatment for breast cancer, I stayed at the PM lodge for 4 weeks while receiving my radiation treatments. Along my journey I have been so impressed by the care and concern by all that I have vowed to give back as much as I can after my recovery.
One way is to learn therapeutic touch to offer free of charge to people.
This may sound strange but I also thought of your company. During my chemo, when I had any hints of naseau, I ate your "Original Ginger Snaps"! Along with positive thinking and family support, they did the trick.
While I was at a chemo treatment I met a 21 year young man. His mother was telling me how he got so sick when he received his treatment. It was just the initial insertion of the IV that he got this horrible taste in his mouth that made him sick. He was always so nervous for all of his treatments.
I quickly took out my bag of ginger snaps and offered them to him. Along with the cookies I told him he had to breath in positive and breath out the fear he had.
His mother came over to me after his treatment began. She was in tears. She said "thank you so much, he ate the cookies and had absolutely no problems or bad tastes in his mouth". It made 3 people happy that day.
1)The young man, 2) Me 3) His mother....The hardest thing for a mother is to see their child go through this whole thing!!
At the Princess Margaret Hospital they bring around little packages of biscuits and small juice cups to offer to those waiting for treatment or family undergoing treatment.
Have you ever thought of packaging your ginger snaps in little travel size packages?? To have these available for patients experiencing nauseau symptoms would be great. A good test market would be the PMHospital!!
I would love to hear back from you.
Thank you so much,
Mary Becker

Thank you for your support!
On behalf of everyone at Second Harvest and the agencies we serve, I am writing to thank you for the delicious ShaSha Co. snaps you donated to our staff and volunteers. We are incredibly grateful for this gift and for the ongoing donation we receive for our recipient agencies.
Every day, Second Harvest picks up surplus food and delivers it in refrigerated trucks to approximately 250 social service agencies across the Greater Toronto Area. The agencies then prepare the food to feed people in our community who would otherwise go hungry. These agencies include housing services, children’s breakfast programs, drop-in centers and seniors’ programs. Sadly, 40% of the clients our agencies serve are children and youth.
With the help of over 600 food donors like you, Second Harvest provides enough food for more than 15,000 meals a day.
Thank you for your commitment to fighting hunger! We look forward to your continued support.
Sincerely
Melissa Dedicb

The 8th Annual Sean Boutilier Academy of Dance Golf Tournament in support of the Hospital for Sick Children and the Competition Dance Team was a huge success.
We would like to thank you for your contributions toward the prize table. Your support was an important part of the success of this community event and is sincerely appreciated.
On behalf of the children and parents at The Sean Boutilier Academy of Dance, we wish to thank you and your organization for your commitment to an important charitable cause and to your community.
Your thoughtful contributions enabled us to make a generous donation to the Hospital for Sick Children.
Thank you.

I wanted to write you an e-mail to thank you for your wonderful product. My family does not eat wheat or dairy (allergies), and your product has enabled us to be able to enjoy breads again. Your spelt bread and pizza shells are superb. We hav tried other alternatives to wheat, but unfortunately they do not taste as good. Without your products listed above (and the amazing spelt ginger snaps), we would not be able to enjoy our meals nearly as much.
We are curious though, have you considered adding spelt buns (hotdog and hamburger) and/or spelt bagels to your product line? My family would certainly be interested in purchasing them on a long term basis if you did. Given that we live in Saskatchewan, we have the products shipped to our house, so volume purchasing would certainly occur. As it is, we have to travel to either Winnipeg or Calgary to get buns and bagels. I am sure your product would be superior to what we currently purchase.
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to read this e-mail. We do appreciate your products, and you have helped to enrich our meals and our lives. Even if there is no intent to increase the product lines, you have customers for life.
Sincerely,
Jeff L.

ShaSha bread Co.
On behalf of the board, staff and members of Gilda’s Club, thank you for your commitment to helping families living with cancer and for your donation for our talent and volunteer gift bags for the 2008 Variety Show.
Your support makes a huge difference to Gilda’s Club members and their families living with the trauma of diagnosis and treatment and then in living their lives fully as survivors on life’s journey. Thanks to your support, we can accept more families in need every day. For them, being in a milieu where one is accepted, able to be with family and friends, able to engage in healing activities, able to meet other survivors and able to secure clinical support is so important to living fully and to healing one’s body, heart and soul.
The Gilda’s Club program has proven its effectiveness. Together with you, we are on the leading edge in solving a critical gap in care for people living with cancer. Together with you, we are pioneering a new model of community-based support that has the potential to transform health care in our society.
Thank you for joining us in our quest and commitment to provide the best practices of social and emotional support to all people living with cancer!

First new best discovery for 2009! We just found you at Whole Foods on Houston Street in lower Manhattan.
This (ginger snap) is simply the most scrumptious bite-sized biscuit ever. (Just don't count how many bites you consume at a sitting!) We love the piquant gingery flavor and the snappy crunch. We intend to become experts on each of the other flavors. Thanks for being environmentally friendly, health-conscious, and visually appealing. It's all a treat!

Dear Shasha team:
I just wanted to send a note of thanks for the fabulous cookie donation for Gilda's Club's It's Always Something Variety Show.
I must admit, a few bags were opened early and helped fuel the team who helped me pack and assemble the gift bags. The new Lemon Flavour was a big hit! (It's my own new personal favourite).
The snack size bag was perfect for the volunteers, and I put one of every flavour into the talent and VIP bags. The greedy side of me missed the big bags you sent last year, but being able to spread the cookie goodness to all our helpers was a very special treat!
Gilda's will be sending an official thank you letter as well. I haven't heard what our total fundrasing was this year, but I know that you helped make a difference for Gilda's many members.
Best regards!

Hi there,
I make a gingerbread house from scratch every year. Last year I used your spelt cookies. I just thought it might be fun for you to see the result.
Thanks for making such a wonderful product. My daughter loves them, and one of her friends who is a rather select eater, loves them too. If I serve them she asks if she can take some home...the answer is always yes!
Thanks again

Oh man, how can you do this to us? It's difficult enough to get a bag of your 'Spelt Ginger Snaps' home from the grocery store, now you go
ahead and introduce 'Spelt Lemon Snaps' with poppy seeds no less!!!
My girls and I love these even more and I really don't mind them getting eaten. I've been trying to cut down on our family's intake of wheat and buy as much organic/fair trade as possible, so these organic spelt cookies fit right in. Thanks for making easier to do the right thing...and it tastes so good!

Dear ShaSha People,
We found your product at the Costco store in Kamloops,BC last week. Prior to that we had never heard of or seen "Marble Snaps" and/or any other product of The ShaSha Co. before. We liked every aspect of the look of the product and especially the list of ingredients. So we bought (regrettably only) three 340 g containers. My husband and I casually nibbled the odd one or two biscuits, until we realized that the container was well past half-empty before we knew what had happened. To put this into context - we normally have a biscuit each with our early-morning cup of tea, and that's it as far as biscuits go for the rest of the day.
The ShaSha experience is the start of an entirely new, great life-enhancing experience for us: these are simply some of the most delightful biscuits that we have ever had the enormous pleasure to nibble (as well as to look at!). You guys deserve (and, no doubt, have) the most enormous success with what you are creating. (You should also get the Nobel Prize, become Prime Minister of Canada, Queen of England etc, etc.)
Only one COMPLAINT WISH:
We live in Blind Bay, BC and our nearest food shops are in Blind Bay, Sorrento and Salmon Arm (in order of increasing distance). Visiting friends, who helped finish up the rest of our glorious Marble Snaps in double quick time, think, as do we, that it would be absolutely magnificent if you could facilitate our ShaSha addiction (you may need to get a Helpline soon!) by enabling us to source your products from a more local store. Having hugely enjoyed your product, we realize that you are people of amazing genius, enterprise and energy who undoubtedly will find a way of helping to make us!
Best wishes
Iris Haack
To Whom It May Concern:
I would just like to say how much my family enjoys your products. I was hoping you would be able to send coupons and/or samples for your products. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

I was also particularly pleased with the helpfulness and friendliness of the two women who were working there this afternoon. One of them was Margot. I think the other woman was her daughter.
Please accept my congratulations. I certainly will be back and will also be passing along recommendations and rave reviews to my friends and family.
It's so refreshing to find a shop that recognizes the importance of good public relations and exceptional service.
Congratulations,

We love the cookies! Alas, Mrs. Green's, Mt. Kisco and Briarcliff Manor, NY are out of the Cocoa Snaps - will you be sending more?
hey there, this morning i saw a jar filled with your heart shaped cookies and was forcefully compelled to try one. one soon became two, which multiplied rapidly from there. i became enthralled with them and even though i had eaten enough, i was still drawn to them. i then for the first time noticed the symbols you placed on them... and all became clear.
the one symbol i didn't inherently understand was the stamp "SHASHA" on them... being as the cookies weren't in their original wrapping but rather in a nondescript cookie jar... i decided to "google it." the results lead me to your website, and eventually to your e-mail address, which was the sequence that spawned this correspondance.
in other words, an arbitrary series of coincidental events starting a few hours ago lead me, almost unwittingly, to writing you this e-mail... and personally i do not believe in coincidences.
at any rate... after browsing your site breifly, and reading over your vision, i recognized that you are a very intelligent person, and you are doing very valuable, yet under-valued, work. in a world deprived of positivity, not for lack of wanting or need, but for lack of the knowledge that something as simple as "putting love" or projecting positivity into the process of food preparation transforms that meal comprised of "happy food" into the physical manifestation of healing for both body and soul.
i love what you are doing, and i was wondering if you could use some help of any kind in terms of networking, marketing, advertising... or even financing for expansion (assuming you desire to expand)... naturally i would accept nor require any fee, i would just take a great deal of pleasure investing what spare "man-hours" i can mustre helping you in the growth and spread of something i feel is exceedingly important and meaningful. you are on the front lines, waging war on the demons humanity's neglect and indifference towards our environment has become... and if ever you require an ally in that battle, despite being strangers you already have at least one in me.
Please accept my kindest thanks and sincerest appreciation for what you are doing for this tattered world. for whatever it is worth, I believe in you and your vision, and I have faith you will have a great deal of success provided you continue to follow your heart.
take care,
peace and love,

We just opened a container of your ginger snaps and found them delightful. We were able to buy them for our Kosher home, because you had been considerate to have them kosher certified. Are your breads also kosher certified? If they are, I presume your sourdough starter does not contain dairy ingredients. If that is the case do you sell starter? Thanks.

I just had to write and tell you that I love your cookies. They are crunchy and incredibly tasty and still very low in calories! Please make more, and please keep them low in calories. Thanks again

Greetings,
I am a resident of Plymouth, MI who happened upon your gingersnap cookies and found that they are a wonderful remedy to my morning sickness as a newly pregnant mom.

Good morning,
To whom this may concern, a guest of ours brought your healthy cookies to our house. We were shocked to find out that they were Kosher and how amazing they tasted. Please let me know where your products are being sold at.
Sincerely,
Diane
My family loves your bakery products. We have become very organic conscious
lately and appreciate what your values are. My question: are you open to the
public at any time throughout the week or weekends?
Thanks for taking the time

I recently tried your ginger snap cookies that I purchased from a whole
foods store while I was visiting Denver Colorado. I absolutely loved them.
Thank you.

Dear Shasha,
I love your little peanut-free gingersnap hearts. They are making me very happy. I'd love it if they came in a resealable package, too!

Listen, I've never written a food company before but I felt compelled to after eating your ginger snaps. DAMN! They are easily the best cookie I've EVER had. Not too gingery, not to sugary, perfect size, organic, perfect. My wife picked them up at the store on a whim and I ate the whole friggen bag.
Your ginger snaps are a great product. Thanks.
